Frequently Asked Questions

GuideWeave is a parent-directed educational service — not childcare or unsupervised mentoring. Here's what to expect before booking a session with Aaryan.

Who should book a session?+

All sessions must be booked by a parent or legal guardian. We do not accept bookings directly from children or minors.

What age groups do you teach?+

Sessions are designed for students approximately ages 6–15, depending on the subject and skill level.

Subjects currently offered include:

  • Chess
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • STEM enrichment
Can my child attend alone?+

For younger children, we strongly encourage a parent or guardian to remain nearby during the session.

Parents are responsible for supervising their child and ensuring they are participating in an appropriate learning environment.

Are sessions recorded?+

Sessions may be recorded only with the prior written consent of the parent or legal guardian.

Recordings can be useful for:

  • Reviewing lessons later
  • Helping students practice independently
  • Allowing parents to see what was covered

No recording will take place without parental permission.

What is the parent's responsibility?+

Parents play an important role in their child's learning experience. By booking a session, parents acknowledge that they are responsible for:

  • Reviewing the curriculum and lesson topics
  • Determining whether the content is appropriate for their child
  • Supervising younger children during sessions as needed
  • Monitoring their child's participation and online safety
Are these tutoring sessions or mentoring sessions?+

These are educational coaching sessions focused on helping students develop skills in mathematics, physics, chess, and STEM problem-solving.

They are not counseling, therapy, childcare, or formal mentoring services.

Who teaches the sessions?+

GuideWeave STEM sessions are led by Aaryan Srivatsan, a high school student with a strong passion for astrophysics, mathematics, physics, and chess.

The goal is to inspire younger students by making STEM subjects approachable, engaging, and enjoyable.

Can parents observe the session?+

Absolutely. Parents are welcome to attend or observe any session.

We encourage parents to stay engaged and ask questions about their child's learning progress.

What technology is required?+

Students will need:

  • A computer or tablet
  • A stable internet connection
  • Zoom or Google Meet (depending on the booking)
  • Any materials requested before the lesson
Is this a school or accredited educational program?+
